SUPERINTENDENT JOB DESCRIPTION
Main Purpose:
Enforce safety protocol and lead teams of individuals to operate safely and efficiently. Supervise between one and 15 field crew members. Daily interaction with office and field personnel.
Key Relationships:
Internal: Sales Representatives, Project Managers, Estimators, Shop Manager, Dispatcher, Equipment Operators, Laborers, Administrative Staff
External: Interact with General Contractors, Mechanical, Electrical, and Pluming Contractors which includes interfacing with superintendents and Project Managers for various trades
Specific Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and supervise Saw Cutting/Core Drilling/Demolition activities; includes determining method of procedure, manpower levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked
- Coordinate assigned work with work of different crafts, company departments, or other contractors/site requirements
- Maintain liaison with estimating and planning teams to ensure work complies with specifications, & schedule
- Assist in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) as required
- Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented
- Maintain liaison with other departments to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project schedule
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
- Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
