Penhall Company's Austell, GA location is currently accepting applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant to work in a fast paced office with a variety of responsibilities. The successful candidate will have experiences in a similar setting and range of responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Billing and collections
  • Certified payroll
  • Assist with paperwork for new employees – onboarding, safety training set up, DOT compliance (DISA software)
  • Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records
  • Answer phones - screen/handle routine and/or noncritical items - pass others on to supervisor
  • May compile and prepare various reports for supervisor's use (requires analysis and comparison of data)
  • Obtain supervisor's signature on all contract, subcontract, and change-order documents as required.
  • Mail services, ship/receive packages, office supply deliveries, etc. as required.
  • Arrange travel, including hotel, and per diem for field workers
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, plus 2-3 years business or industry related experience
  • Experience and accuracy in, but not limited to: customer service, payroll (including certified payroll), Accounts Payable (A/P), Billing, Collections A/R), etc.
  • Knowledge of construction or related administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, managing files, records, other office procedures and terminology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times is critical

Must be able to:

  • Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen and random drug testing while employed
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record
  • Required to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
